In this article, we've provided step-by-step instructions on how to connect your (MT5) Forex.com account to Glitch Financial. If you are more of a visual learner, feel free to watch a live video here!
To begin, head over to Forex.com. If you already have a live account, proceed to login. If haven't created an account, click the [Open Account] button on the top right of the screen.
After submitting your email and creating a password, you will be directed to the following screen (below). For your Forex.com account to be compatible with Glitch Financial, select [MetaTrader5].
Afterwards, you'll be asked to [Select a Product]. If you want to read more about each product, we've got your covered:
- Spread-Only Account: Wider spreads (1.0-1.5 pips EUR/USD), no commissions; best for less active traders.
- Raw Pricing Account: Tight spreads (0.0-0.2 pips EUR/USD), commission-based ($7 per $100k traded), optimal for frequent or automated trading.
We've tested with both products, and either option will work with Glitch Financial. Proceed with the option that seems most fitting for you!
Continue with your application. Forex.com will ask you for a series of documents/information. After submitting your account application, it can take anywhere from 1-3 business days to be accepted. If your account is complete and documents are clear, they can approve it in as little as a few hours.
Once your account is approved, you should receive an email titled [Name, your MetaTrader5 account application has been approved[. The email will include the [Server Name], which is [FOREX.com-Live 536], a piece of information you'll need to connect your account to Glitch Financial.
Now that your account is created, log in to your Forex.com account. After you log in, you should see the following screen. Click [Add Funds]. You will be redirected to a screen that shows your deposit options. Click [Add] on the option that best suits. Keep in mind, you can deposit funds in various methods, but you must select [USD] as the base currency when funding.
On this screen, you can also find 2 of 3 account details ([Username] and [Server Name]) needed to configure your account to Glitch Financial.
Now that your Forex.com account is created, funded, and you have your account details, head back over to Glitch Financial. On the top right of the [Strategies] page, click [Add Strategy].
Once you get to the [Configure] page, you'll be asked to insert the following details:
- Server - Type in [FOREX.com-Live 536], or find it in the dropdown menu.
- Login - Your Login is the [8-digit-code] provided on your Forex.com Account Dashboard.
- Password- Insert your [Password] tied to your Forex.com account.
- Order Fill Aggressiveness - Choose between [Moderate], [Conservative], or [Aggressive]. Feel free to read our Understanding Leverage, Margin, and Aggressiveness in Glitch Financial article, which will cover everything needed to learn how these settings will impact your trading account.
- Aggressiveness Multiplier - Modify your Aggressiveness Multiplier to [.5x, 1x, 2x, or 3x]. Find more details on what this means in the article attached above.
- Add Account - When you are finished, click [Add Account]
If everything was done correctly, after clicking [Add Account], you should see an [Account Successfully Verified] notification appear on the top right of your screen. Head back to the [Overview] page. After a few minutes, you should see your funds (in your Forex.com account) displayed in the [Account Value] box. If you do, your account is live!
