How to Connect Your Hyperliquid Account to Glitch Financial

In this article, we've provided step-by-step instructions on how to connect your Hyperliquid account to Glitch Financial. If you are more of a visual learner, feel free to watch a live video here!

First, head to Hyperliquid and connect your wallet of choice. You will see a [Connect] on the top right of your screen. After clicking [Connect], you will be presented with the following options: 

Many users use Coinbase Wallet, MetaMask, or log-in via email. Be sure to look up the pros & cons of each wallet before choosing which method is best for you. If you're interested in learning more about each wallet type, or need help connecting your wallet of choice, please contact the Glitch Financial Customer Success Team. 

The video tutorial presented above uses the [Log in with Email] as an example. If you are using a non-email wallet, approve the connection request in your wallet interface.

After connecting your wallet of choice, you will need to deposit funds into your you account. To do this, click the [Deposit] button on the top right of your screen. You should see this (below).

Keep in mind, your account will need to be funded with [USDC]. To avoid unnecessary swap, deposit USDC using the Arbitrum Network. Deposit your funds with care! It is never a bad idea to send a test transaction (minimum deposit of 5 USDC) before sending the full amount. The Arbitrum Network is relatively fast; your funds should arrive in less than ~3 minutes.

If for some reason, you have to deposit non-USDC funds, there is no problem, you will just have to swap into USDC (Perps account) once your funds have arrived in your Hyperliquid account.

To confirm you have received your funds, click on the [Balances] tab, found on the bottom left of your screen. If you sent a small amount of funds for testing purposes, un-click the [Hide Small Balances] button. If you deposited USDC, it should have automatically sent to your USDC (Perps) wallet.

If you deposited ETH, SOL, or any other crypto asset other than USDC, you will have to swap it into [USDC]. When you do so, it will automatically convert to USDC (Spot). To enable futures-based trading, which is needed for Glitch Financial, you will then need to transfer the USDC (Spot) to your USDC (Perps) wallet. 

After connecting your wallet of choice and depositing funds, click the drop down on the [More] tab, and then click [API]. Once redirected to the [API] Screen, conduct the following steps: Create a name for your Wallet, Generate an API Wallet Address, and click [Authorize API Wallet].

Once redirected to the [API] Screen, conduct the following steps:

1. Create a [Name] for your Wallet.

2. Click [Generate] on the [API Wallet Address] box, and

3. Click [Authorize API Wallet].

After you click [Authorize API Wallet], you will be asked to [Insert the number of days you want your API Wallet to remain Valid].

After clicking [Authorize], you will and receive your [API Wallet Address] and [Private Key]. As it displays on the screen, your private key will only be shown once, so make sure you save these account details somewhere safe & secure as you will need it to connect your account to Glitch Financial. When you are done storing your Private Key somewhere safe, you can click [Authorize]. 

Before connecting your Hyperliquid account to Glitch Financial, it is important to ensure that your Hyperliquid account is utilizing Cross Margin (not Isolated Margin). This should be the default setting on Hyperliquid, but it is always best to confirm. 

To check this, head to Hyperliquid, and conduct the following steps: 

1. Click on the [Asset Pair] (1) shown on the top left of your screen, above the chart. 

2. Click on [Perps] (2). 

3. Glitch Financial trades the following symbols/pairs (3): 

• BTC/USD 
• ETH/USD
• SOL/USD
• XRP/USD
• DOGE/USD

4. Click on each pair, and on the right side of your screen, you'll see the [Limit] (4) leverage set to 20x. It should automatically be set to this. If so, you can either back out, or click [Confirm]. 

Now that you have your Hyperliquid account details, return to Glitch Financial. To connect your Hyperliquid account, you'll need to conduct the following steps:

• 1. Paste your [Wallet Address] - Your USDC deposit address will be shown by clicking the [Deposit] button, located on the top right of your Hyperliquid screen (shown in Step 2). You can also click the [Settings] icon on the top right of the screen, and click [Export Email Wallet]. 
• 2. Paste your [API Wallet Address] - You can find this by going to Hyperliquid, clicking [More], and then [API]. Once you're here, you will have a view of your Glitch Financial-related [API Wallet Address]. (shown in Step 7). 
• 3. Paste your [Private Key] - Your Private Key should have been saved somewhere safe & secure after creating your API Wallet (shown in Step 7). 
• 4. Modify your [Aggressiveness] settings to your liking. For more information on how these trade settings can impact your account, read the 'Understanding Leverage, Margin, and Aggressiveness in Glitch Financial' article in the Glitch Financial [Documentation - Onboarding] section. Keep in mind that the Aggressiveness-related settings can be altered after connecting your account.

Once you've entered your Hyperliquid account details in, and have modified your Aggressiveness settings, click [Add Account]. You should see an [Account Verified] Notification on the top right of your screen. If you have done everything correctly, you should see your funds shown in the [Account Value] box on the Glitch Financial Overview page.

If everything was done correctly, your Hyperliquid account is now connected to Glitch Financial!  If you by chance do not see your funds there after five minutes, please contact the Glitch Financial Customer Success team, and someone from the team will be with you shortly!
