How to Connect a Binance Subaccount to Glitch Financial

Austin Sigsworth

Are you looking to utilize multiple crypto-related strategies on Glitch Financial using your Binance account? Or, are you an active trader on Binance, yet want to leverage a Glitch Financial strategy on your Binance account? If either of these is true, you're in the right spot!  With Glitch Financial, users can subscribe to more than one strategy; to do so, you must have multiple trading accounts to connect. Opening a Binance Subaccount will allow you to manage multiple independent sub-accounts within your Binance profile.  This article will bring you through the process of creating a Binance Subaccount, so you can diversify across multiple Glitch Financial strategies at once, or continue to manually trade without causing disruptions with your Glitch Financial trading bot!

If you still need to set up a Binance account, you may find our 'How to Connect a Binance Account to Glitch Financial' guide helpful. If you do not plan on subscribing to more than one crypto strategy or do not plan on making any manual trades on your Binance account, you can proceed to connect your standard Binance account to Glitch Financial. If you intend to subscribe to more than one crypto strategy or plan on making manual trades on your Binance account, you must create a subaccount for Glitch Financial. Let's go ahead and get started on making your Binance subaccount.

First, log in to your Binance account using your primary credentials. Once you have logged in, find and click the [Profile] icon, typically located on the top right of the screen, and then click the [Account] icon.

Click on [Account Management] and then click the [Create Subaccount] button.

Next, select the type of subaccount you want to create:

  • Regular Email: Enver a valid email address and password that is not used by another Binance account.
  • Virtual Email: Enter a desired name for the sub-account, and Binance will generate a virtual email address for API operations.
  • Third-Party Custodian: Select a third-party custodian and follow their specific instructions to link it to your sub-account.

You will then need to [verify your email address] after creating a sub-account (especially if you used a regular email).

Once your subaccount is created, you can manage your subaccount by clicking [Subaccounts], and then [Account Management] button. Here, you will be able to do the following:

1. Set account permissions - Navigate to the [API Management] section, and edit your API Key's permission. Select [Enable Spot and Margin Trading], and, if using an IP whitelist, ensure your IP address is included. If your API key doesn't have a whitelist, the permission will expire after 30 days.

2. Create API for subaccount - Next, if you're not already here, click on the [API Management] section within the subaccount's settings, provide a label/name, complete 2FA, and then you'll be provided with your [API Key] and [Secret Key]. Be sure to keep these account credentials somewhere safe and secure!

3. Transfer assets from your main account to your subaccount - You will need a minimum of $2,500 [USDT] in your subaccount for Glitch Financial to appropriately run a crypto-related strategy. To transfer USDT from your Binance main account to a sub-account, navigate to the [Asset Management] tab, select [Transfer,] and choose the sub-account you want to send the USDT to. You can then enter the amount you want to transfer and confirm the transaction. This process is fee-free and instant!

  • API Key Secret - Insert your Binance [API Key Secret] on the Glitch Financial 'Configure' page.
  • Order Fill Aggressiveness: Choose your settings.
  • Aggressiveness Multiplier: If applicable (if utilizing a Binance Margin account), modify your [Aggressiveness Multiplier] settings. After clicking [Add Account], on the top right of your screen, you should receive a notification saying [Account Verified Successfully].  If so, you will be redirected to the [Overview] page, where you should see your funds in the [Account Value] box, located on the top left of the screen. If so, your Bybit account was successfully connected!
